Ganesh and Indian Brass Statues

Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, the elephant headed one, is probably the most popular Hindu deity and his image brings good fortune to the house, or to the business – many shop doorways have an image of Ganesh over the door or in a shrine in the shop window.

In the summer of 2013 we spent a month in Nepal where there are many statues and carvings of Ganesh, or Ganesha or Ganeshpati as he is sometimes known. To see photos and read our blog about Ganesh statues in Kathmandu take a look at our blog Ganesh Statues in Kathmandu.
