A set of 8 postcards of photographs from Ladakh and Spiti in northern India.
There are two of each card. In the order they appear:
Avalokiteshvara wallpainting, Leh valley, Ladakh, India, 2007. Avalokiteshvara, the Boddhisattva of Compassion is one of the most popular aspects of Buddha nature, especially in the Tibetan Buddhist areas of Tibet, Nepal, Spiti and Ladakh.
Old Prayer Flags bleached of colour at Tangtse monastery in the Changtang area of Ladakh, 2010. Prayer flags and stupas are a wonderful sight throughout the Buddhist Himalaya.
Vairocana statue, Lhalung monastery, Spiti, 2006. The small temple at Lhalung has only a narrow walkway around this beautiful four sided statue of Vairocana.
Stupa in the Pin valley, Spiti, India, 2003. This beautiful stupa is at the entrance to the Pin valley, near the confluence of the Pin and Spiti rivers.
