This view of the Silk Road Gallery is looking through one room into the next.
There’s so much in this photograph I’ll just mention a couple of special items. The large textile on the back wall is an appliquéd wallhanging of Krishna, made for an exhibition in Delhi in the 1980′s. To the left are some beautiful silk weavings from Laos called Pha Tung. Vegetable dyed, they are handwoven for the Buddhist New Year. Also shown are framed Indian miniature paintings and folk art.
